On Sunday, August 28, 2005, while on her way to work,
a tragic auto accident on Route 211 W, in the town of Deer Park,
took the life of 18 year old Marianna Ronca. She was to start college the next day.
Her family and friends established a foundation in her name to honor her memory.
The foundation will provide a scholarship to be awarded to one graduating senior
each year from the Port Jervis City School District.
The scholarship will be awarded to the graduating senior with
the biggest heart and the brightest smile.
